The national biobanking program
The purpose of this network is to increase the availability, usability and quality of the existing Swedish biobanks.

The national biobanking program was a joint program of the formerly KAW financed programs Swegene (http://www.swegene.org/) and Wallenberg Consortium North, WCN.
The national biobanking program has among other things funded the development of genestat, a knowledge base for statistical genetics focussing on methods for genetic association studies.
