Summary of service
We provide consulting, education, and subscription services in bioinformatics and gene expression analysis to researchers. The core facility is constantly developing methods and skills, and also set up and validates novel Affymetrix assays and protocols. Upon request, we provide our knowledge to researchers or give lectures on student courses.

Technologies/Methods
BEA provides the following services based on the AFFYMETRIX platform (www.affymetrix.com): (1) Gene expression profiling for standard, exon and tiling arrays and for standard and small sample assays (2) Global genotyping using, 10k, 100k and 500k assays (3) Chip on chip assays (4) Re-sequencing
BEA also provides service for: (1) Bioinformatics (2) RNA purification (3) RNA/DNA quality and quantity determination (Agilent and Nanodrop).
The facility includes: (1) AFFYMETRIX system including 4 fluidics station and autoloader for scanner. (2) Agilent Bioanalyzer (3) Nanodrop instrument (4) Five PCR machines. In the pipe line: establish the AFFYMETRIX custom design SNP assay.
