Summary of service
Transgenic services:
Our object is to assist scientists to develop new transgenic and knockout mouse models.

ES cell services:
Embryonic stem (ES) cells can be differentiated to many cell lineages in vitro under defined conditions and can serve as a model for dissection of cell fate decision in the early embryo. Using this technique, cell lineage commitment and maturation can be studied. In addition, cell types that are not easily accessible from early time points in vivo can be generated in vitro.

Technologies/Methods
Gene targeting in embryonic stem (ES) cells

Blastocyst injection of genetically modified ES cells

Pronuclear injection of DNA constructs
(Strains: hybrid B6DBA, FVB, C57BL/6)
Embryo transfer
(Cleaning of infected mouse strains from pathogens)
Advice on construct design, genotyping and initial breeding
of novel transgenic lines
